Last weekend I was lucky enough to spend a fab weekend with the girls in Norfolk. It’s been a couple of years since my last visit to the area, as soon as we arrived I remembered how much I love it. We stayed in the gorgeous Ford House in Docking. The cottage was gorgeous, a real treat to spend the weekend in. I’ve already booked to go back later in the year. Here are some photos from our weekend.
During our weekend we managed to fit in almost all of the places we had on our list, and a couple of new places too. Our first stop off what Thornham Deli for a bite to eat after the long journey. Two minutes down the road is Drove Orchards where we found the gorgeous Joyful Living, farm shop, a fishmonger, Eric’s Fish & Chips, Bells & Whistles amongst others. Here are some photos taken in Joyful Living… it was very joyful and far too tempting for all of us!
Burnham Market is a must for anyone visiting Norfolk and with the addition of the fabulous coffee shop, The Kitchen, we spent a couple of hours in the sunshine. Next door is the home and lifestyle shop, Birdie Fortescue.
Burnham Market is a pretty village that, although can become busy with cars at times, it has a great feel with colourful shop fronts and a fab range of shops and eateries.
Our next day started with a visit to Stiffkey Stores, a hidden gem that serves as a post office, local shop and coffee shop. A visit to north Norfolk isn’t complete without a stop off here, even if for a coffee to go and a browse around the gorgeous gifts and homewares.
Our day ended with a sunny walk along the beach at Wells-Next-The-Sea. The beach has a long row of colourful huts making it a dream for photographs.
Before heading back home to Derbyshire we stopped off Eric’s Fish & Chips… a great addition to Drove Orchards.
