With Easter weekend just around the corner I’ve been getting creative! I spotted some bunny ears napkin rings on Pinterest some time ago and they’ve been in my mind since, so I thought I would make them for our Easter table. They are so simple, easy to make and take no time at all, which suits me perfectly and the risk of a ‘Pinterest fail’ is minimal with this one!
I posted a photo of them on my Instagram page and asked if a ‘how to’ blog post would be helpful & here it is! Firstly, what do you need? Hessian, scissors & a glue gun… that’s it! My hessian is from Hobbycraft & my glue gun is many years old now, but you can pick them up from Hobbycraft also.
Firstly, cut a strip of hessian around 2 inches wide, this will be the ring. Next are the bunny ears… a leaf shape works well & size is totally up to you!
Next, take the strip of hessian and glue together, forming a 1 inch strip. As the glue cools it hardens giving the hessian structure.
Take the hessian and make a ring shape and, when you’re happy with the size, glue it in place. Snip off the excess hessian, leaving you with a ring ready for some ears!
Next, glue on the bunny ears.
Any you’re done, I told you it was so, so simple! Next is to repeat the process for the total number of napkins rings you require. I’ve made 6 ready for our Easter Sunday table.
Here are a few images of how our Easter Table will come together next weekend.
