We recently had the total pleasure of staying at The Pig near Bath as part of our trip to the Cotswolds. The Pig is a place we have looked to stay at for a while now, but not had the opportunity, so this seemed the perfect time to book a night’s stay.
As soon as we arrived we spotted the deer in the field opposite. There’s something quite special about being close to so many deer.
Our little lady was made to feel very welcome and was able to choose a DVD to watch with popcorn back in our room. Our room was lovely with a big comfy bed where we all relaxed on while we watched Lily’s choice of DVD, the Wizard of Oz.
We had a fab evening meal in the Conservatory… the area reminds us of the mandrake scene from Harry Potter! Full of herbs in pots and wooden fruit and veg boxes, we loved it! I ordered steak with amazing chips, Hubby had lamb and Lily had pasta and we shared a dessert. Yum!
As you can see from the photos above, breakfast was a triumph. If you go, do try the poached pears and the freshly baked cake… basically, anything on offer will be delicious.
