I discovered The Lime House Cafe on a recent visit to The Harley Gallery on The Welbeck Estate and immediately fell in love with it. Set within an impeccably maintained courtyard with so many beautiful things to see, The Lime House Cafe calls out to you to come inside.
Once inside you are greeted by an ultra modern interior which is so welcoming, Hilary and her team are so friendly, I felt as if I had been a customer for years. The facilities here are great, children are welcome and well catered for and access is perfect for both pushchairs and disabled visitors.
The Lime House Cafe has been owned by Hilary since 2005 and it has become such a popular place, loved for its simple and stylish menu using ingredients sourced locally wherever possible. Here you can choose from sandwiches, salads, soups and home baked cakes. You will also find a selection of fresh, home cooked dishes on the daily specials board. I recommend ‘The Lime House Ploughman’s’, served on an olive board, it looked and tasted amazing, I even photographed it.
While visiting The Lime House Cafe you will also find The Welbeck Farm Shop, The Welbeck Bakehouse and The School of Artisan Food. This stunning location on The Welbeck Estate has won numerous awards including a Civic Aware for Architecture and an Award for Excellence in Tourism.
The Lime House Cafe has to be on your list of places to visit in Nottinghamshire. I can’t wait to go again.

i travelled over from Buxton with friends to visit the cafe. we'll be back, it's a gorgeous places to spend a few hours as there's also the harley gallery.

I've been working my way round the coffee shops and cafes on this website and I think this one is my fave. the food is delicious and it's set within the wonderful Harley Gallery

The limehouse ploughmans really is fabulous, cheese, pickles, chutney, bread, pork pie - I'm smiling writing this, really need to go back for another. Great food and surroundings.
