A big thank you to all the users of the site who contacted me to tell me I should visit the Alphabet Gift Shop in Mickleover. What a wonderful shop!
The Alphabet Gift Shop offers a truly wonderful selection of items for children, all of which can be personalised. From cushions to bears and towels to bags. The shop isn’t just dedicated to the little ones, they also offer a lovely range of items for the home and jewellery. I think you'll agree, from the photos, the shop is a must see and I'm sure you'll be tempted to buy yourself something or a special gift. They will also, whenever possible, personalise a item while you wait, which is just perfect...I am very impatient and when I see something I like, I want to leave the shop with it.

As a dedicated customer of The Alphabet Gift Shop already I could hard wait to see the new extension! I was not disappointed! It is full of even more lovely things, (there is now even beautiful furniture for sale). The staff are so helpful and friendly. A visit is a real treat, but do allow plenty of time because you won't want to leave in a hurry!

I've been wanting to visit for ages and finally had cause and time today - what a treat - jam-packed full of lovely things to buy - good range of prices from cheaper trinkets to more expensive handmade items - there's a gift for everyone here. And I was sooooo impressed by the way my items were individually wrapped and packaged all ready to give as gifts - saves me a job later. Now pass me the credit card so I can buy some more!

Don't go in here if you are in a rush, trust me you will need plenty of time to browse as there is always something in there calling to you despite your best efforts to only nip in for a birthday card! My husband joked last week that I paid for the extension to the shop with all my purchases, but trust me it's hard not to splurge as there are so many lovely things to look at. The staff in here are so friendly and the extension is welcome as it gives you more room to mooch around. Now if they could only add a little cafe to the shop then I would spend my entire life in there.....

I visited the Alphabet Gift Shop a couple of weeks ago, the day after the extension opened. I was stunned to see such a treasure trove. The cards are gorgeous and about half the price of the ones I usually buy at the Bottle Kiln. The owner was lovely too, and happy to help. Mickloever has been calling out for some where as lovely as this!

I found this shop on the website and decided to head over to take a look. I've not been to Mickleover before and decided to head over and I'm really pleased I did, it's a great little shop...stands out on the street! really lovely

This shop is lovely - lovely setting, lovely staff and really lovely products. I bought a gorgeous candle for a friends birthday and will definitely be back to buy lots of personalised gifts in future....especially from the baby and children's range, which is just lovely!

Just what Mickleover needed! A fantastic gift shop. I was greeted by friendly staff who were only too willing to advise. Lovely, unique gifts, many of which I understand are made and can also be personalised on the premises (mine was personalised whilst I waited - fab!). I was looking for one gift and left with several, including wrapping paper, cards and bows! I will certainly visit again.

Visited last week finally after passing to and from work since it opened. What a great addition to the area - fantastic range of gifts for all ages and occasions, but an in-house personalising service for many products. Have been again today and bought 3 presents so far - what a fab shop!!
